TESTIMONIALS
I am very impressed with your remarkable attitude when it comes to assisting others. No wonder your students display such fine attitudes, they have an extremely good role model.

Percussive Rhythm Guitar
<< Back to FREE Lessons

A style of playing that is very popular among guitarists is the percussive style that is found in a lot of funk, R&B, blues, hip hop, and many others. It is not the easiest style to conquer, but with a bit of practice is well worth the effort and the reward is that you will become a more versatile and sought after player. You can download the full lesson (pdf file - for your own personal use) here.

You can also hear the music examples here. The playback of this midi file does not give a correct muted sound. However, it is the rhythm that most people have trouble with so listen carefully for that.

I hope you enjoy the lesson.

Please Note: to view the lesson you will need to have the Adobe Reader Plugin which you can download from here. If you haven't got the "Sibelius Scorch" plug in for the music you will need to download it from here. Both plugins are FREE and only take seconds to download.
