Danny Carron & Dwayne Pate Seminar    Saturday 15th of December 2001

Every year we have the pleasure of hosting an international guitarist or two, and this year we had guitarist Danny Carron and bassist Dwayne Pate for our second seminar series.

Danny has worked with many big names including John Lee Hooker, Van Morrison, and Steely Dan. Dwayne is known for his work with the legendary guitarist Robben Ford.

Dwayne began with his seminar and showed us how he came to develop his own style of slapping and popping. His seminar was filled with many good musical stories and ideas for getting ahead. It defintely was a great lesson in bass playing.

Danny was next up with an in depth look at the blues, and why it is important for every guitarist to explore. He demonstrated some great solo and rhythm technique, and everybody just loved his laid back approach.
