Robben Ford & Bruce Forman Concerts    Wednesday 26th of December 2001

It has just been confirmed today that two of the world's greatest players are going to vist us in 2002. They are Robben Ford the well known blues player, and Bruce Forman the well known jazz guitarist.

Bruce has been here before to do concerts and seminars for our students.
He is a great teacher, performer, and above all a great guy.

Bruce will be here as part of the Genesis Manawatu Jazz Festival in early June.

Robben Ford has performed in Auckland before, but hasn't toured the country.
He is a well known teacher (ex GIT) and performer. I have seen him performing many times in the USA and his shows are great.

Robben will be here in September as part of the International Blues Review tour, which will also feature Long John Baldry.

The backing band for this tour features some players that have done seminars for our students as well, Danny Carron and Dwayne Pate.

Both these shows will be sold out quickly, and the seminars are only available to our students and members of our mailing list. We will have tickets to both at discounted prices when they become available.

It has just been confirmed that Tuck and Patty are also to play at the Manawatu Jazz Festival along with The Four Freshman. WOW.

Tuck Andress is in my opinion one of the greatest acoustic guitarists ever.
He is like the Jimi Hendrix of the classical guitar. A definte "must see".

The Four Freshman are known mainly for their vocals, but many people don't realise that they are expert instrumentalists as well.

It is going to be a big year for us at the Kevin Downing Guitar School.
