Just talking to Rodger last night and he recommended a great show deal for us. The Lab Band with Chris Cain AND Danny Castro, another big name hard hitting blues man from San Francisco. Of course I said “yes”, on behalf of you all.
Check Chris & Danny out on YouTube. Chris has already been named by Joe Bonamassa as one of the most under rated blues guitar players of all time. 🙂
Does that make all the practice and effort worth while??? There are very, very, very, few guitar players who will ever experience this sort of experience in their whole lifetimes. Even most sports people will never get to play with the BIG guns either. You get to do it – that is one of the rewards for your efforts.
We will do the first half, and they will do the second half with Chris’s San Francisco band. Also, they are going to do another completely different show the next night together.
Just so happens that they are both doing the Melbourne Jazz Festival the week before us, then Chris is at the Chicago Blues festival on June 7th, which I might be there to. 🙂
